Just a Day...

Today was a pretty decent day. Benjamin woke up at 6:30am. He's been doing that ever since we got back from Ohio.
While we were in Ohio he stopped sleeping through the night unless he was sleeping with me. But, after just one night back in his own bed he is sleeping from about 9pm-6:30am. So it's not too bad. I'm glad the torture was kept to a minimum.
This morning we were supposed to meet the play group at the mall playground. However, when we got there the playground was covered in children. I saw a few mom's from the group, said hello and then went to victorias secret. I had a free underwear coupon and ANY body by victoria bra for 24.50. That's a steal. I got a 56$ dollar bra! Alright..I will stop discussing my undergarments. I think there may be a few male readers out there.
After the mall we went to Wal-Mart. I needed to get a few more items for some care packages I was mailing. Then we went to the post office where I spent a whopping $61.86 on POSTAGE! AH! I mailed a package to our friend Rob who is in Iraq and to Emily. I also mailed a few cards and bought a book of stamps. I hate filling out customs forms. I hope people don't read them before they open the box.
Then, since we were out and starving we popped into KFC. It's not so healthy, but Benjamin enjoys the mac and cheese and I love a good potato wedge. For those of you with concerns, we rarely do fast food anymore. Pizza yes, but usually not fast food. Only if we are on the go. And I almost always pack something else for Ben to eat.
Anyway. After we came home from our long morning of errands, we took a glorious two hour nap. :)
When Rick got home, we ate dinner, watched some tv, gave Ben a bath, did some dishes, picked up the house, and now Rick is studying, I am blogging and Benjamin is sleeping.
So...an ordinary day, but a good day. :-D

Photo Shoot...

I attempted a photo shoot with Benjamin today. It's pretty difficult for me to get really cute pictures when it's just me and him. I need an assistant. Lol. I didn't take too many, but here are a few of my favorites...

We Know Why You Fly

Why is it that odd things always happen to me when I fly?

On my way to ohio a rude old lady thought I was going to sit in her seat and hit me with her bag. Then I sat next to another old lady who wanted to tell me everything she knew about her Mammoth Crocs and how they are so wonderful because her feet swell and sweat and the crocs are roomy enough for her expanding feet and the lining never smells like feet sweat....

On my way home to Arizona, my contact popped out of my eye as I walked through security and one of the guys yelled, "Stop! Her eye fell out!" He did offer to take Ben though so I could look for it and get it back in.

These incidents don't even begin to explain the traveling strange-ness.

Once, on a flight home from Germany I was seated next to a very large woman dressed in authentic African clothing. She had a purse filled with candy bars and Otis spunkmeyer muffins. She had one entire Snickers bar before we even took off and several muffins to follow. When the in flight meal came, she literally licked the butter packet clean. But all of this didn't really even phase me. It was the brown wash cloth that she pulled out of her bag to wipe out her stinky armpits that really did me in. 8 hours of armpit stench, Yum!

On another recent flight, a woman decided she liked Benjamin so much she would like to sit in the empty seat next to us. The stewardess kindly asked her to move to allow me more room, to which she replied, "no thanks, I'm fine right here." Finally after the stewardess asked her to move again, she did. To the seat behind us. Sticking her finger through the seat and saying, "But I can stiiiiiiillllll seeeeeeeeeeeee you!"

I have many more captivating stories...but I will save them for another time.

I'm going to take a nap!

Ben's Good Looks....

This is my dad when he was about 9 months old. While they are not identical, I think you can definitely see the resemblence. :)

I'm leavin on a jet plane...

We're going home tomorrow morning, pray for safe travel!

I have lots of pics to post when we get home....
