Messy House, Dirty Face, Happy Family...

Stream of Conscious...

Well..what's today? Thursday? I've been trying to clean my messy house all week. I even gated off the clean areas in an attempt to keep them clean (kind of pathetic I know...) while I caught up on laundry and various other tasks...I've been kind of exhausted lately...Lunch today was peanut butter and honey on wheat bread and apple slices. After lunch, I diligently washed hands and then swept the floor and washed the table...I later realized that I had washed all hands but no faces. Some times it feels like I'm losing my mind, but I'm gonna blame it mostly on the rain. When you're "trapped" in your own home because it never stops raining, the days start to run together (so do the sentences..)...the daily tasks become quite mundane and you start searching for an escape...I think it's normal..I hope it's normal anyway...I think if it's going to rain, and rain, and rain some more, I am just going to need a weekly break..a little breather from the daily grind. My sweet husband brought me home my coffee (read: vanilla bean smoothie with caramel & whip)..and tomorrow I'm going out for dinner with a friend. It will be a nice refresher....necessary to keep this not so tight ship running smoothly..

I'm starting to think that having a nanny just 10 hours a week would be great, I could sit and edit photos without feeling guilty for not playing with my kids...I could grocery shop in peace...I could get a pedicure without feeling guilty for leaving the husband at home with the kids..I could do laundry and fold it without worrying what is going on upstairs (i.e. quiet = Evey pouring water all over the bathroom floor because she's "makin' shoop." cute as it may be...) Yes...just 10 glorious hours of kid free, action packed house hold tasks! All while my cute little darlings are being entertained by the nanny of my dreams!

Alright, alright...snap back to reality...(I'm still going to keep thinking about a nanny...)

In other news...my tulips still look amazing. The bright colors make me happy. I need to find just one more chair for my kid size farm house table, I hate mopping the floors...

I'm tired...and I think I will go to bed now...if you've made it this far in my ramblings..thanks for keeping up. Goodnight!

Tulips =)

If you're ever in Washington in April, please go see the Tulips in Skagit Valley! We loved it! I'm only sad this was our first and quite possibly our last time visiting!

It was a beautiful area, and small and quaint. Reminded me of home, mostly because of the farm land. We popped into a cute antique store on the way home and I got a baby quilt (for no one in particular..just too cute to pass up!), 2 knitted hats (for a dollar each!), a little oak chair for the kids table (we already had 2), and my favorite find, a huge egg gathering basket! It's rusty and blue and I filled it up with the kids' rain boots, but I intend to use it for photo shoots too!

=)
