A Husband's Cruelty
Richard sent me a text message this morning that said, "Hey, look up the song Bring Him Home Santa." So naively I did...and that video is what I found.
Of course, I only cried my eyes out. So I have to ask...WHY? Why would a husband knowingly request that his very pregnant (and already pretty emotional) wife listen to a sad little voice asking Santa to bring home her daddy....and if you watched this thing until the end please let me know if the last little boy's face turned your tears into sobs. Gosh!
Seriously...it's not even right.
***EDIT***
Richard heard on the radio this morning that when the DJ played that song he got tons of calls asking him to play it again, so it was announced that he would play it again at 9:15. Well, Rick had class at 9am and thought if the song was that good he should let me in on it. So, he never actually heard it before telling me to look it up. We knew he wouldn't do that intentionally...and for the record, when he watched, that last little boy choked him up a little too.

Benjamin Goes to the Dr.
Wednesday, December 3, 2008
Men may want to skip this one...
He gave me a book and told me it was time to make a birth plan. Unfortunately I have no wonderous labor progress to speak of.
He was able to feel the baby's head which is something my german doctor never could do with Ben. He was never low enough. So that's kind of cool.
My belly didn't grow any since last time, but I did gain 2 pounds.
I asked him about the trip home and he didn't think it would be a problem, he is convinced the baby is big enough and that she will be arriving early.
Now, if only we could find her a name. :-/

Nothing to write about!
Rick's leave is approved for January (Flying on the 6th). If the baby is born after Christmas, she can only fly with a medical release...if there are any problems with me or her at all, I won't be able to come. So we haven't purchased any tickets yet. We just don't know what to do.
I am going to mention it to my doctor today and see what his thoughts are.
Benjamin is obsessed with cars these days. But before you get any ideas, he has about 150 hot wheels cars that used to be Rick's. His favorites are mostly the same ones that were Richard's favorites and he (Richard) thinks that's cool. Grandma M. gave us money for Ben's Christmas gift (to avoid shipping costs, loaded suitcases, etc.) and Richard got this on his Black Friday escapades. He got it from Target or Kohl's for 20 dollars! It is actually pretty huge, and we both think Ben will really like it.
I think when you have little kids at home Christmas might be more fun for the parents. Rick and I both usually find that we love Ben's toys more than he does, with a few exceptions. His favorites include a piggy bank from Aunt Ang that he got for his birthday, this farm set that my mom used for his birthday cake, his vacuum cleaner, and a tonka truck we got from a garage sale for $1. He now also loves his hot wheels ramp, which was supposed to be for Christmas, but since he was already engineering ramps on his own, we couldn't wait to show it to him. It's been the highest priority for play time since we gave it to him. He won't even go to bed without at least 2 cars. Bones is chopped liver compared to cars. Here is a video of him racing his cars, he always throws his hands up over his head after the race, we don't know where he got that, but it's pretty cute.
The quality of the video kind of stinks, but what can you expect with a phone? We ordered a new camera from Amazon.com (we got the insurance money from the break in), it should be here soon!
Anyway...I'd better get on with my day...

Videos continued.
Benjamin love music and loves to dance, we almost always listen to music when we're having breakfast. (This music is HSM3)
This is from last night, my mom requested a close up of his face. It looks distorted on here though. He makes the dog noise, monkey noise, and tiger noise, and says hi(ya). He obviously realized that I ask him to make animal noises in the same pattern all the time...bc he started to make a monkey noise before I even asked. He can do it out of order though.....
This is a week or so ago, He got up from his nap and was playing with the boxes of stuff and his cars...next thing I know my little genius built a ramp!
Videos From the Phone...
Benjamin has some sweet dance moves in the Kitchen
This one is from earlier this fall, maybe in October...Ben watched Rick butter his bagel and then decided to try to "butter" his...only he used soup!
