My Husband, The Genius...

After realizing just how truly sad I was about not being able to use my camera, Rick decided to go pick up a set of precision screw drivers from Radio Shack and attempt to fix my lens.....Ok, so it may have been his desire to keep me from spending $100 dollars on a new one...but it was probably a little bit of both...

Anyway. That thing was broken. Things were rattling inside. So he spent a couple of hours taking it apart and checking it out, removing pieces that "were pretty much worthless," and when he put it all back together, It WORKED! It's not perfect, it sticks a little and the auto focus isn't so great. But, it will satisfy me for now, atleast until I can convince him that I really do need a new one, or that lovely 18-200mm lens I've been wanting...

Behind...

So, we're all moved in now. Not quite clean to my specifications, but working on it.

Yesterday we washed the car and this morning we detailed it. I love a clean car and I love detailing too. It's among the many odd jobs I think I would love...I think I would also enjoy being the person who mows the grass on the side of the highway....

Anyway, with my lens still broken and no new one in the immediate future for me, I have to say I am a little crushed. The panasonic lumix is good for taking videos, but it's so slow turning on and actually taking the picture. I get so frustrated missing the moments my Nikon would have captured. Grr.

I have a video that I have attempted to upload three times. We are "borrowing" someone elses internet at this time until we get our own and it is kind of hit or miss.

Just arrived, two suitcases in hand....

Yay! We're here! We really did have a great trip. Fun hotels, nice stops, Excellent Benjamin. Once we arrived in Sierra Vista we went to check out our apartment complex. We couldn't get inside, but the blinds were open, so we got a nice look. It's a small cozy two bedroom, two bathroom first floor apartment.

Honestly, I couldn't be happier. We can walk out the front door and it's literally 10 feet to the laundry room, pool, exercise room, leasing office, and mail boxes.

We have a nice open kitchen, and a ceiling fan in the living room. I'm excited to move in and set up shop. We have a new fridge but the stove is a little old, what apartment stove isn't. :) It's a little small, but I'm sure we will fit just fine.

Until next time...Be Cool ;)

P.S. For your entertainment, here is a video from the road today! Rick didn't really approve. :)
