Mostly Pictures

In no order what-so-ever.... Here are some pictures from the last few days. I've started myself on a 40 day challenge in order to get my routine back and to make that routine include my husband...anyway...we've been enjoying some nice, sunny, but a little chilly, weather and we've taken walks, gone on bike rides, and Rick and Rob have begun construction of the fire place mantle. So...here we go..captions below.

Benjamin about to tell me off...Evelyn amused as usual. :)
Using his sister to get some "emms" (aka m&ms)...she is holding onto his pant leg..trying to stop him? Or his partner in crime?
A new smile of Ben's I don't recall seeing before, it reminds me of a little boy at church.
A little puke on her face, but still adorable.
The house with the beautiful flowers I planted, and the new mulch :) Oh..and my new porch rockers that I got for my birthday (thanks babe)!
Munchin' some goldfish
She's such a smiley little girly
Rick and Rob laying some tile
Ready to go for a ride in the bike cart
We were at toys r us the other day in search of one of those cozy coupe cars..and the little stroller was out to play with. Ben pushed it around the ENTIRE store, occasionally stopping to look at other things, but always remembering to go back for the stroller. Rick tried to hide it from him twice, but his little face worked it's magic and daddy was suckered into a purchase. It's alright though...so far he's pushed his baby, mostly pushes his cars, let daddy push him, and pushed his snack and juice too.
He thinks sunglasses are HILARIOUS!
Benjamin got this whistle as a gift and two days ago, he learned how to blow it! *so proud*
He loves to where daddy's hat and loves to leave it covering his eyes.
It's fun to walk along the outside of the porch rail.
Daddy and his babes after bath time last night. Do I have a nice looking family or what?!

Happy Birthday Mom-in-law!

Today is Rick's mom's birthday! Happy Birthday, We all love you!

Hm.

Really, it's been since Thursday? I've been busy in the mornings with files and trying to kick part my internet addiction in the meantime. The weather is getting nice and I need to get outside and soak it up!

Life has been pretty normal. We finished planting flowers and mulching the front yard. I haven't had a chance to take any pictures yet, but I will. Rick got me porch rocking chairs for my birthday and so we've been enjoying them. I've been tempted to bring them in the house though since I don't have a rocking chair or glider.

Other than that, we've just been spending time together as a family and trying to keep things as normal as possible, even though the deployment is looming. So far we have been doing a pretty good job, although I can tell that Rick is on edge. I don't think he is nervous about the deployment/work part, but he doesn't want to leave the kids (or me). He keeps saying that he is going to miss so much, and I hear him from time to time telling Ben, "don't forget me, bud"  *heart breaks*

I still feel ok. It's just one of those things you can't really wrap your mind around. I kind of keep pushing it out of my mind, like maybe if I don't think about it, it won't happen.

Anyway...the pictures up there...if you really know Ben, you'd know that he is a candy fiend. He comes by it quite naturally...but it makes me wish we never dressed him up and told him about Halloween...Anyway..he LOVES gumballs. So, today while he was sitting on my bed, I gave him the gumball machine and snapped some pictures. He kept asking me for "mon-ay" because he knows you can't get a gumball out without a coin. Smarty pants. I know the first one is blurry, but it's still cute...to me anyway.

He's talking A TON these days..today he said, "no it's not" to something I said...he also repeated "pine cone" and when we drove past the park today he said, "wanna pay" It's so cute, but he's getting so big. It's amazing to watch...it has been from the beginning :)
