Home Again, Home Again...

I am back in GA. Ohio was a short, busy, and fun trip. I loved the snow. But I love sun and warm more.

I got into Atlanta this afternoon and had Rick pick me up there. If he didn't I would have had to sit around in the airport with Ben until 8ish waiting for my next flight.

We got back to Columbus at a decent time and drove around awhile trying to decide what we were hungry for. We decided on pizza..surprise. :)

We went to the airport to retrieve my bags...turns out, only one bag made it here and almost every person on the flight was missing one or both of their bags. A major Delta mix up. The guy said the next flight from Atlanta comes in at 10:45am tomorrow so we could stop back in then and see if my bag got on that flight. How annoying. I was happy to get the bag with my makeup and hair stuff rather than the bag full of clothes. I will be sad though if it doesn't turn up.

This whole trip with the flights was kind of miserable. On my way to Cleveland I got bumped due to canceled flights the night before. Even though I was confirmed AND traveling with a baby. I had a really nice lady help me out with Ben and also ended up getting an earlier flight and a 400 dollar travel voucher because of her.

Ben was great on all three flights and people were constantly telling me what a doll he is. He was smiling and talking to everyone.

I went home to stand in for Emily for Tara (friend from across the street our whole lives). Emily was supposed to be in the wedding, but since she is in Australia now, I filled in. It was nice. I missed out on a lot because I had to be nursing Ben and stuff. But, my mom was SO great and babysat him for just about the entire day. I really can't thank her enough. The wedding was nice, and Tara looked really pretty.

I also put Ben in the snow while we were home. He had a good time kicking it. Then again, he kicks everything! He only was out a couple minutes at a time bc the wind was cold. It was cute.

Overall, it was a nice trip. A little short. But nice. :)

In Ohio

I'll post pics when I get back to GA. I'm having a good time here. Enjoying the snow. Wedding is tomorrow...and Katie's play. Ben's gonna hate me for leaving him behind so much in two days!

More later...

Pictures and Other things..

I'm flying home tomorrow. I am not ready. Rick is sick...I am semi-sick...Ben is better but will probably be sick again since Rick doesn't have what Ben and I had. Ugh. Georgia allergies? I don't know.

Apparently the flu is going around. At church on Sunday, the pastor said, "make sure you're all washing your hands and avoiding germs..someone threw up in the narthex this morning." Ew.

Rick is sleeping. Ben is munching on cheerios. I am blogging.

There are more pictures on facebook...

Yesterday we played tennis. I was truly amazed at how terrible I was. I suppose that is what happens when you don't play for 3+ years. Benjamin watched happily from the sidelines. Only possible because of the glorious three hour nap he took in the afternoon. It was all fun until Rick made me run laps. Apparently I am lacking in the exercise department. He was "helping" me.

Anyway. I need to finish doing laundry before I leave, decide what we're having for lunch, and put Ben down for his nap, and some how muster up the motivation to pack before bedtime. Maybe I'll even squeeze in a shower. I'm feeling lucky. :)

Normal

Today was a nice normal day. We woke up, had breakfast, got ready for church...drove the half hour to post and enjoyed a really nice service. Really good worship. I liked it. AND...Krispy Kreme donuts afterward. :) After church we came home, had some lunch and then we went for a walk and took Ben to a playground..He did not care to do anything but look at trees and birds from the stroller...Rick climbed a thing or two though. Then we cleaned out the truck and had dinner. I just put Ben to bed, we're watching the Academy Awards and I'm catching up on laundry...*sigh* My dream life...haha

Now let's talk about Columbus, GA. I swear to you everyone walks around here with a blue tooth headset. It's so annoying...well, I don't talk to strangers unless they address me directly, but more than once someone was chatting on their headset and Rick responded...it's socially awkward. Leave your blue tooth in the car.

I have pictures to post...but I don't feel like it right now. Maybe tomorrow! Goodnight!
