Hello 2010!

January

- Evelyn's first airplane ride at 5 days old

-A new Sister-in-Law for both of us, Welcome Alisha and Kaje!

-Went to a huge indoor water park with the fam (Ben hated it!)

February

-Rick attended pre-deployment training for 6 weeks

-Emily came to visit

March

-Rick returned from training

-Rick's parents came to visit and we attempted and failed to see Mt Rainier

-We went to Seattle for the first time since moving to WA in September of 2008

-We found out Rick would be deploying to Afghanistan instead of Iraq

April

- I turned 25

-Rick was offered some training in Tampa, FL and we got to go along, it was one of our most favorite vacations ever.

-We put a fence in our backyard and planted some new bushes in the front yard

May

-Ben started enjoying Evelyn a little bit more

-We spent as much time soaking up life with daddy as we could

June

-We visited some local waterfalls

-Gave Evelyn her first haircut

-Visited the glass museum and the air and space museum

-Went to Mt Rainier

-Enjoyed the summer heat

-Painted

-Went camping with our church small group

-Evelyn learned to crawl

-Evelyn was baptized in Ohio while we were there for Robert and Kaje's wedding celebration

July

-We painted Benjamin's room blue

-Celebrated the fourth of July

-Benjamin turned 2!

-Said a sad goodbye to Daddy

-Discovered we were pregnant with baby #3 (same day Rick left)

-Suffered through an extremely hot summer

-Richard enjoyed his birthday working in Afghanistan

August

-Slowly learned to adjust to life without daddy, complete with plenty of crying and melt downs

-Suffered through more heat

September

-The kids and I escaped to Ohio

-We found a kitten and named her Flea Biscuit, aka Bic

October

-Enjoyed the fall

-We took a trip to Michigan, the driving part was rough, but we had a great time

-Evelyn feasted her eyes (and mouth) on Lake Michigan for the first time

-We finally made it to Auntie Jill's annual Halloween party dressed as a lady bug (Ev), a Dinosaur (Ben), and a Baby (me)!

-Found out if we were having a boy or a girl..and decided to keep it a secret!

November

-Made the drive back to Ohio after a nice time in Michigan

-Visited some family friends on Lake Erie

-Celebrated Thanksgiving in South Carolina

-Decided to stay in SC for awhile with Emily

-Enjoyed a quick, poorly planned, extremely fun trip to Atlanta

December

-Flew back to Ohio and decided to drive back to Michigan for a few days

-Had an early Christmas party with my mom's family

-We spent Christmas day, with just my immediate family, it was nice and quiet and the kids had a great time playing with their new toys, building a ginger bread house, and hanging out

-We went to a huge indoor water park with part of my dad's family (Ben LOVED it)

Funny how we started and ended the year with the water park! It's hard to believe an entire year has gone by. It seems like yesterday we were bringing Evelyn home from the hospital and now here we are celebrating her first birthday and a new baby on the way!

We made so many wonderful memories this year and I am excited to see what God has for us in 2010!
