Where a Kid can Be a Kid...

We woke up to a COLD morning here in GA. It was SNOWING! We couldn't believe it. Of course none of it stuck. And it was 50 some degrees by noon. Nothing compared to what's happening in Ohio! My mom told me church got canceled. Crazy.

After we watched the snow (which Ben was fascinated by), we got ready and headed off to a birthday party at Chuck E. Cheese. A friend of ours from Germany is stationed here also and her daughter turned three earlier this week. It was pretty fun. Ben met Chuck and wasn't even scared. Curious though. We won fun dips and cotton candy with our tickets. Good for me since cotton candy has been on my mind since I saw it in the video store a couple days ago...hehe.
After Chuck E. Cheese we meandered around Dick's Sporting Goods, Petco, and then went to Sears to check out grills. Rick and I both love to grill and Rick has been feeling the need for a grill lately. The one he pointed out to me today...a lovely, red, Kenmore. Not exactly in our budget. So we will keep dreaming of grilled food and wait until we are in a more permanent living situation.

Anyway...not much else going on. Benjamin is our little destructo baby. He's got his hands on anything and everything within reach..he's also getting VERY good at climbing and reaching whatever he sets his sights on. Sometimes it makes me crazy...I suppose it will only get worse when he starts walking.

Alrighty, Benjamin just went to bed and now it's my turn. I'm SO tired!

Here is a link to my latest Facebook Album , I've posted some of the photos here already...

8

My little baby...not so little anymore..

Lazy...

Happy 8 Months Benjamin!

He takes after his mommy...or so MY mom would say...

Talking with his friends in his "room."

It rained all night and was super cloudy today. It was also really humid so we stayed inside all day. We played, watched t.v., took a nap, and just hung around all day. Now that it's almost 5pm I have to say the cabin fever is kind of setting in...We may go for a drive or take a walk.

Let's see..Now that Ben is 8 months..let me list his accomplishments and other Benisms...

He is now a super crawler. He is SO fast! Always keeping me on my toes and sometimes testing my patience. He gets into EVERYTHING!

He pulls up to stand any chance he gets and is very good at cruising the furniture and/or anything in his reach.

He says mama, dada, and num num..kind of in a run on way, but we know what he means..i.e. when he sees daddy walk by and not pick him up, he puts up his little hands and says "dadada"

When he eats, he is constantly trying to get the spoon from me and put it in his mouth. I guess his first try at feeding himself.

He always seems frustrated by his own limitations.

He LOVES being outside.

He is pretty good at figuring stuff out and is patient enough to keep trying. (just like daddy)

He knows what "no" means.

He loves any kind of singing and music. He is especially intrigued by Noni (my mom).

He is a little greedy with food, especially when it comes to puffs.

He is a master fake cryer and fake cougher.

He is SO cute, I can't stand it!

Happy Day

I like it when Rick doesn't have to work. This morning he got up with Ben at 7am and let me sleep in. It was great. We spent the day hanging out, watching some t.v., and later we took a walk, watched some dogs play, fed the ducks, did some jumping, and snapped some new family photos...Gotta love the self timer!

I don't have much else to talk about, it was a good day..So I'll leave you with some pictures...
