Dirty Dirt...

I got a package from Rick in the mail yesterday..filled with lots of different trinkets, jewelry, hats for the kids, twizzlers for the prego...and various other things..including a drive with pictures.

I can't share too many of the photos, sensitive info, but I will say, the entire box smelled like dirt, and when I washed my hands after touching all the stuff, dirt came off in the sink. It's hard for me to imagine living every day life covered in dirt, but that's what they do. I guess after awhile you'd be used to it, but I bet his first shower at home is going to feel amazing.

Even though I don't know what it's like to live in dirt, I do have a greater appreciation for the place I get to call home.

Just another day....

Had a Dr. Appt. yesterday. Happy to report all is well and I am measuring a week ahead of schedule. Fine with me. Heartbeat was good, weight was good, everything appears to be healthy and normal.

Other than that....nothing new here...except that maybe (most likely), I'm probably sticking around for Christmas...I don't know how they talked me into it..but spending Christmas alone in an empty, undecorated house is a lot less appealing than say... family, gospel celebrations, feasts of grandeur, and possibly water parks, and a first birthday party for Evelyn... But after that..I'm going home... :-P It will be 2010 and that's the year the husband returns!

Today..is one day closer :)

Lazy Sunday...

I suppose it's been awhile...

Nothing extraordinary going on around here....Benjamin and I are sick again. It's just a cold this time, so no fevers, just coughing and sore throat..and lots of snot! Yuck.

Evelyn is walking everywhere now, and she just got her third tooth. It's one of the front top two, so I'm hoping the other one isn't too far behind..because it's looking a little silly. She had a hard time cutting that one though, very cranky, low grade fever, and she was barely sleeping at all...

Benjamin is talking up a storm and I love that Daddy can understand him on the phone now. They can actually have short conversations. It's really cute. :)

Me? I'm doing alright, just pregnant...22 weeks now. It's going by fairly quickly..which is kind of nice because once the baby is born we'll only have 3 months of deployment left. =)

Anyway......nothing really new to report, same old, same old for now!
