Day two

Our first night home was great. Evey is eating really well, and she woke up every three hours to eat and then went right back to sleep. It's really not any different than before she was born because I was up going to the bathroom that often anyway!

Benjamin is adjusting well, when she cries he tries to pick her up. We'll need to watch that.

Rick is going back to work Monday, for a day before we go on vacation. Evey has a dr. appointment and I don't know how I'm going to do that..I'm sure it will be fine though.

Now, since I was unable to post....

Let's recap 2008

January-After celebrating our 6th new year's together. The only holiday we've been together for every year since we started dating. :) We had a nice Christmas and New Year's and then Rick went back to school in Georgia.

February-Benjamin and I moved to GA and Rick became a 2nd LT. *So Proud* It was this month that we discovered we were pregnant again.

March- Suffered a miscarriage.

April- Moved to Arizona

May- On a trip home to Ohio I found out we were pregnant again!

June- First dr. appointment revealed a healthy, viable pregnancy

July- Visits from Rick's sister and my parents, and Benjamin turned one!

August-Moved to Washington

September- Bought our first home and found out we were having a baby girl. :)

October- Really started getting involved at church and making awesome new friends

November- First Thanksgiving in our new house, and we finally found a 2nd car.

December-First Christmas in our new house and of course, the arrival of Baby Evey.

It's been a fantastic year for us. We've been blessed again and again and we can't wait to see what God has in store for 2009!

The Great Find of 2008

Two days ago, I was doing random searches on craigslist for things we may want in the future...like a piano, or a treadmill....I found this little beauty located near our house and advertised for only $100. Richard thought this was a steal and called the guy. It turns out he and his wife are moving tomorrow and needed the piano to be gone by tonight. There were multiple interested parties and it became somewhat of a bidding war. After the price went up, I talked Rick out of it, it's just not something we need to spend money on right now. He gave me a hard time about it, saying it was something he really wanted etc.

A little while later the guy called us back and said, no one can move the piano by tomorrow, so if you can come get it tonight, I'll give it to you for free.

Naturally, Richard could not pass on that deal. So he called a couple of places, rented a trailer, and off he went.

We had $60 cash, so we gave that to the guy, it was too nice to take for free, and the wife had had it since she was four years old.

A friend from church helped him move it into our house. (Thanks Luke, and Happy Birthday!)

Benjamin was in LOVE...so I guess when He's four, it's lesson time!

Oh and if you are curious, it's a 1905 Richmond Piano, made in Richmond, IN. It has all of it's original ebony and ivory keys and the stool is original too. On the feet of the stool there are glass balls. Everything is in really nice shape, the piano needs to be tuned, but it doesn't sound horrible as of right now. And now we have something to go in our empty dining room!
Remind you (mom & family) of anyone?

He wore this hat last night and wanted to wear it for like half of today as well.
He's too cute, I'm going to miss it just being me and him I think.

Overdue.

In my delirious state, induced by extreme fatigue, I will post this gross picture of me at 40 weeks.
