Happy Easter Weekend!

Happy Easter, we got a fun filled box from Noni and Papa this week, including Evey's outfit in the above pic. She picked the matching purple purse and sunglasses and asked nicely to wear her Easter shoes. She cracks me up, always matching her outfits, picking out her shoes..Truly a girly girl.

Ben got a stuffed Buzz Lightyear which he has used as a pillow for the last 2 nights.

Addy is obsessed with books, so Noni sent her books, and I got several books to fill up their Easter baskets too.

I am ready for the weekend! It has been a trying week in our house..plenty of whining, crying, and fighting and just plain naughtiness to go around! I am glad that it's over tomorrow and we can recharge with Daddy's help! I have been so tired!

I know this was a pretty boring update...but what can I say...nothing too exciting has happened...Tomorrow I may go to the farmers market, and we might check out the tulip festival this weekend too...Jam packed fun and hopefully plenty of pictures!

Tid Bits

As I was tucking Ben in tonight, he gave me some advice... "Mommy, drink some milk so the baby can get some in yers tummy."

As Ben and Ev were playing upstairs this morning... "Evey! Get me my socks, I'm going to work and I'm running out of tiiime!"

Ben about his new camping chair.... "IT EVEN HAS A CUP HOLDER!! I was needin' one of those."

Evey as she was changing Addy's diaper (I walked in their closed bedroom door to find this scene..) Addy was fussing and trying to get away, Evelyn had a bunch of diaper wipes and was talking in a hushed voice, "I know, sweetie, I know, you're okay.."

Ben as he was returning from a fake plane trip to Noni's house....
B- "I'mmm Hoooome!"
Me - How was your trip?
B - Good...but the plane crashed!
Me - oh no! Good thing no one got hurt!
B - Uh, I got hurt because I wasn't wearing any pants!

Evey playing upstairs with Ben (I am not sure what led up to this)....
E- You can't do that any! MORE!
B - I can do any-fing I want.
E- You will be far away in the highest room in the tallest tower...

Maybe they've seen Shrek one to many times :-P

Let's go Scootering!

In recent days the kids have decided they aren't afraid of our big hill any more and it might actually be kinda fun. So we broke out the knee pads and helmets and went for a cruise down the hill. I took some video too, but the Flip is downstairs and I'm too lazy to go and get it now...Anyway...Ben rode his scooter, his car, his "mocar-cycle" and even his bike, which was really a surprise to us. He had an incident, that he still remembers, where his bike went too fast and he thought he was going to fall off, but now he seems to be a bit braver..a welcome change for mommy and daddy. We almost always have to force him to do fun things before he realizes that the activities are fun and he likes them.

Ev just stuck to her scooter, and she was a vision in pink. She picked out her own outfit today courtesy of her sister's closet, and yesterday we stopped at the goodwill and they each got a set of elbow/knee pads (which they both think are super awesome). Ev also got a new helmet, since it's bike riding season again. Addyson needs the baby helmet so Evey picked out a nice pink helmet with bunnies on it. According to her it's a "princess helmet, oney for me." She cracks me up.

I took her with me for a pedi today. An early birthday week gift from the husband. She told me I couldn't have pink nails, because pink is hers. So I have blue toe nails :-P We had fun, I'm excited for the day when Addy can come too.

Other than that..it was a lazy Saturday around here...nothing new going on. We're enjoying being outside more now, and happy to be seeing a little more sun.

Anyway...it feels like a rambling post now..so I'll hang it up and go to bed...goodnight!

P.S. Happy Birthday to my Brother...and Happy Wedding Day to my cousin! Sad we couldn't be there!
