Status Post Dr. Visit...

Benjamin: Weight 27lb, no fever, ear infections in both ears, given a 10 day dose of amoxicillin. Hopefully this will clear up. He also acts like he has a headache, probably due to the serious coughing he's been doing.

Evey: Weight 10lbs 8oz, 22.5in long. Apparently her "diaper rash" is a yeast infection. But I blame it on huggies wipes. Benjamin can't tolerate them either. She was given and Rx for vitamin D. As with Germany, there isn't enough sun around here. She had her belly button cauterized. (Silver nitrate: Active ingredient of the lunar caustic, a stick that traditionally looks like a large match-stick. It is dipped into water and pressed onto the lesion to be cauterized for a few moments) It looked ok..she didn't cry. But her belly button looks more nasty now and is oozing brown crap all over her onesie. Not a fan. She also had to get another PKU done. So they pricked her heel. She didn't cry over this either. She's tough, like her mommy. :)

Anyway...we need lunch and two poopy diapers are calling my name. :-D
