Evey Refresh

What a Day

Since Evey came home from the hospital, most of her time awake has been spent crying and in obvious misery. I kept thinking that she had heart burn or something like that because she would wiggle and arch her back and puke non-stop. She was also constipated (as I mentioned before, thinking it may have been the vitamin d drops..)

Since Emily has arrived, we've been on the case. But today we were wandering Wal-Mart and after 2 hours of crying/puking/hiccups (for Ev, we were not in walmart that long), we purchased some soy based formula.

After the first feeding she was calm, not puking, smiling, and she pooped almost immediately afterwards. Since then, she's had one spit up and hasn't cried at all. She's a completely different baby. Even her face rash seemed to instantly look better.

I have to admit though, that although I'm not a huge fan of breastfeeding, I am sad that it was my milk causing her so much trouble. I know it's not my fault...but..yeah. We're going to continue the soy trial for 24 hours and see how it goes, but so far, we can't believe the instant change it seems to have made.

Anyway...we're having a great time and I am really going to be sad when she leaves. I keep trying to convince her to bring James over and just stick around for awhile. We'll see. ;)

First 54 are the Hardest...

So says my grandma who is celebrating 54 years of wedded bliss today! Happy Anniversary!

Richard and I are having a little anniversary of our own..it's the anniversary of our engagement..he sent me the following via txt at 12:01am : "Four years ago today i made the best decision of my life! To be with you forever :-*" That's right folks..he loves me. :-D

So far we've been able to talk to each other about every other day. He will be leaving for a 14 day mission the day after tomorrow and we won't get to talk at all. It's supposed to simulate what his upcoming deployment will be like. Not looking forward to that at all. I have 50 million things to talk to him about each day. He's my best friend. :-/

Sorry things had to get mushy for a minute, what can I say? I miss my husband.

In other news...I'm enjoying time with my sister who is here to visit, help, and keep me sane for the week. It's been so nice and I hope she's not bored.

K, well, my kids are sleeping so I should be too!

Proof!

That mommy spends too much time on the computer...He loves to open my lap top and start typing away. I love how he even pulls it onto his lap. Maybe he's the next bill gates...

Anyway...Today, I was awesome. :-D I thoroughly cleaned my ENTIRE house. I bleached the kitchen sink, I dusted, I vacuumed, I cleaned toilets, showers, sinks...etc. My house is all clean and beautiful, upstairs and down! And! I did it all while the children were napping. Of course I had to forfeit my own nap...but I'll survive.

Emily comes tomorrow, pray I don't encounter problems on the way to the airport, I'm a little nervous about the drive and what traffic will be like...I'm sure it will be fine. I'm excited!
