Yes, we finally made it!
Today was a longer day than we were used to, and Benjamin let us know it. We really thank God for our safe travel. One of the trailer tires ended up wearing quite thin along the outer edge due to the weight of the trailer.
We made it on post just as the sun was setting. We love what we have seen so far and can't wait to do some more exploring and find ourselves a place to live.
We are staying in Military lodging tonight, sadly though, they are booked solid tomorrow through the 28th of the month. So we'll have to find somewhere else to stay tomorrow. It's annoying because the rooms in this place are like small apartments. They have a separate living room and bedroom and a kitchenette. Complete with pans, utensils, and dishes. Even a dishwasher! And Rick said, "Wow, they even have mints!" LoL. Needless to say, we are impressed.
Our travels today included a lot of mountain driving. It was not too bad though. Portland was a gorgeous city. Oh, and we learned that Oregon has no sales tax and that it is illegal to pump your own gas there.
Once we entered Washington, we saw some strange things. We got a "dance by." A young kid with head phones on hanging out the window dancing and waving like a maniac. Then we got a peace sign from a dirty hippie in a loaded down Saturn. We were pretty happy about it all.
We'll keep you posted on the house hunting...we are really excited to get started!

Liberals, liberals, liberals...lol!
